In recent weeks, you may have noticed that the meat case at your local grocery store isn't looking as full as normal. The issue comes from the impact of COVID-19, where many meat processing facilities have had to reduce their production levels or have shut down completely for a number of days. That lack of available meat in the case has many families scrambling, wondering if there will come a day when they won't be able to find proteins, like beef, to feed their families. While I don't know how long the uncertainty of COVID-19 or the days of emptier than normal meat cases will last, I can happily guarantee you, YOUR FAMILY WILL NOT RUN OUT OF MEAT.

One important thing to mention is that not all ranchers have the means or desire to sell directly to consumers, and that's OK! Take my family for instance…the cattle we sell go through the supply chain and end up as the beef you find in restaurants, school cafeterias, and your local grocery store. The beef you're buying, whether it comes directly from a ranch or out of the meat case is equal in quality, safety, and nutritional value—the only difference is your preference in how you purchase it. As a rancher, it's important for me to know that my fellow Americans have easy access to beef products, which is why I put this list of "Where to buy Beef in all 50 States", together.

This list is inclusive of all beef production methods, so whether you're looking for something that's grain finished, grass-finished, all-natural, hormone-free, or organic, you'll be able to find it. Many of these families ship their products anywhere in the Lower 48, and those are denoted with a **.

In addition to beef, our family eats quite a bit of pork, so I did take the liberty of noting those direct to consumer ranches who offer also pork products. There are also a number of them who also raise lambs, goats, offer dairy products, and heirloom vegetables (although I didn't denote any products other than pork).

If you're wondering why you're seeing the same company listed under a couple of different states, here's why! If a company does not ship but delivers to a multi-state region, you'll be able to find them listed in all states they deliver to. Ranch cooperatives (a direct beef company where beef is sold by multiple families under the same name) are also listed under each state they have a ranching family in.

This list is updated regularly, so if you have a direct beef company or buy your meat from a direct beef company, but don't see it listed, I am happy to include it (the same applies if you find a mistake or broken link)!
